  • Amanda White returns to her Alma Mater

Amanda has recently taken up a post as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, lecturing on the MSc course that she herself undertook twenty-(quite a few)-something years ago. It has proved to be a very satisfying opportunity, enabling her to share her experience in the real world of consultancy but also allowing her to keep up-to-date with developments in the academic world of business psychology.

CGR’s Pearls

1987 was a memorable year – Margaret Thatcher won an unprecedented third term in office, the great October storm hit the country with hurricane force winds, British Airways was privatised and merged with British Caledonian Airways to form “a British airline to take on the world”….and CGR was founded.

As we met for our monthly meeting the other day, we reminisced about all the changes that have occurred in the thirty years since our humble beginnings in Pinner. We think we could name and recall every single colleague who ever worked with us, as well as dozens of clients with and for whom we worked over the years.

Happily, we are still in touch with many former members of CGR and most of our current team have been on board for many years. The same goes for our clients, several of whom we have worked with for over a decade. Inevitably though we have lost touch with some and we made a 30th birthday resolution to get back in touch with people we haven’t spoken to for a while. If you are one of those people and would like to get back in touch, we’d love to hear from you – send us an email via
