Aileen Kelley

Aileen has recently re joined CGR as an associate, having completed a four year contract working for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, where she headed the recruitment and selection arm of a state owned company. She worked closely with government ministries to introduce structured selection procedures and development centres. She was pleased to achieve considerable acceptance of these approaches in a previously resistant environment.

Aileen has extensive expertise in the design and delivery of assessment and career development programmes for participants from entry level to senior management. Examples of recent projects include the design and delivery of a development programme for deputy permanent secretaries as well as the design of multi level programme for the development of three hundred HR professionals in the public service in Trinidad.

Prior to going to the Caribbean, Aileen's portfolio of clients included those operating in the fields of the public sector, professional services and telecommunications, including most UK central and local government departments, where she gained extensive experience as an executive coach with senior level personnel. She has worked in Europe, the USA, Africa, Eastern Europe and most countries in the Far East. Her experience in Africa involved periods in Nigeria and Tanzania undertaking recruitment and assessment processes for senior staff appointed in-country on behalf of the Department for International Development, the UK's aid ministry.

Prior to beginning her independent career, Aileen worked for Recruitment and Assessment Services, an agency of the Cabinet Office. Her responsibilities included the development of competency frameworks, 360 degree instruments and the design of bespoke assessment and development processes for all grades in the UK Civil Service.

Aileen is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, holding a BA in Humanities (Psych major) and an MSc in Occupational Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire. She holds Level A and full Level B certificates of competence. She is a member of several professional bodies: The Division of Occupational Psychology; The of Association of Business Psychologists; The Association for Coaching; The BPS Special interest group in Coaching. She has attended various coaching courses including, an Executive Coaching Masterclass in 1999, and bespoke coaching tuition from the Learning Laboratory. She gained a Diploma in Performance Coaching from Newcastle College in 2006 and the Advanced Diploma in Performance Coaching in 2009.
