Lorraine Eastwood - Associate

Lorraine has over 25 years experience as a psychologist, 15 of which have been in consultancy. After a successful early career as a prison psychologist, designing treatment programmes for prisoners, she took up a post as a senior consultant with the Civil Service Commission's world renowned Recruitment Research Unit (subsequently Capita Ltd). designing and evaluating selection methods. This interest in selection continues and she has designed assessment centres for all levels from junior office staff to Chief Executives as well as graduate selection and specialist staff.

Lorraine has a particular interest in management and leadership development. She has designed and implemented career development centres and workshops including such elements as action planning and self managed learning. She has coached individual clients through career transitions including promotion, career and organisation change. Examples include long-term one-to-one coaching of senior managers on a leadership development programme and coaching a director making a transition between public and private sector organisations.

Lorraine's portfolio of clients includes a number of central government departments as well as local government, manufacturing and financial services sectors. She has been a trusted associate with CGR since 1999.

Lorraine is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist holding an honours degree in Psychology from Sheffield University and an MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology from the University of East London. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and has published work in professional journals. She is a member of the Association of Coaching and the British Psychological Society's Special Group of Coaching Psychologists. She has extensive experience of occupational testing, holding Level A and Level B qualifications.
