Richard Clements - Associate

Richard has over 20 years experience as a psychologist and, while he is the newest of CGR's team, having joined us as a consultant in 2007, he worked alongside two members of our team for many years in the early 1990s.

After an early career in medical research and IT, Richard retrained as a psychologist and joined the Civil Service Commission's Recruitment Research Unit (subsequently Capita Ltd). As well as designing, running and evaluating selection methods for the Civil Service, he utilised his skills in IT in the development of novel methods of computer based assessment and data capture for national recruitment campaigns. In this period, Richard was also seconded to the European Commission to work on equal opportunities and psychometric test development for large scale, multi-national recruitment schemes.

Since leaving the Civil Service, Richard has developed a portfolio career with the provision of business psychology services at its core. He has designed and run individual and group assessment and development procedures for a range of clients and he has continued to develop psychometric tests. His interest in IT continues and he recently worked with us to develop and run a web-based 360 degree feedback questionnaire process for a global law firm. Richard also undertakes voluntary work with victims of trauma.

Richard is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a BSc from Birkbeck College, University of London and an MSc in Occupational Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire.
