Sarah MacPherson - Associate

Sarah is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Chartered HR professional with over 15 years experience working as an internal and external consultant with a range of blue chip and public sector clients. Sarah began her career with several years in NHS Human Resources where she covered all areas of HR practice. After gaining post-graduate qualifications in personnel management and occupational psychology, she then spent 5 years as an internal people development consultant at Commercial Union (now Aviva PLC) and the Post Office respectively. Sarah's external consultancy positions included working at a general HR consultancy practice as Business Psychology Team Leader, and Head of Assessment at a recruitment consultancy, until she joined CGR Business Psychologists in 1999 as Senior Consultant. She was promoted to Principal Consultant a year later and has continued to work as an associate for CGR since setting up her successful freelance career.

Sarah is fortunate to have worked with a broad portfolio of clients and projects. She has experience with blue chip organisations spanning most sectors and has specific expertise in the fields of finance, insurance and law. Sarah currently specialises in leadership assessment and development, and managing performance (including stress management).

Sarah holds a BA in Psychology and MSc in Occupational Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Sheffield. She also has post-graduate Diplomas in Personnel Management and Stress Management. She is Level A and B trained in psychometric testing.
